Bio-Forum 2004, is the largest activity yet held in Shanghai of biotechnology and pharmaceutical field. With the theme of Medicine in the 21st Century, the conference consists of three themes covering the key elements – Innovation in Drug Discovery and Development, Globalization of Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Venture Capital, Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship in Life Sciences Biotechnology. During the conference, about 200 speakers delivered excellent speeches on their latest research progress, among them about 100 outstanding scientist, entrepreneur, financier and VC expert from 11 countries such as US, Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan, etc., together with more than 10 academicians of Chinese Academy of Science and Chinese Academy of Engineering and many other domestic scientists and entrepreneurs. Nearly 1,000 participants including about 300 overseas participants attended the conference. The success of this event is highly praised by the present delegates.
