The 10th Shanghai International Forum on Biotechnology & Pharmacy and 13th Annual Conference of Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association, co-organized by the Modern Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Industry Office of Shanghai Municipality and Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association(CBA), supported by the Ministry of Science & Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the State Food and Drug Administration, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other government authorities, will be held at Shanghai International Convention Center in Shanghai on May 28-30, 2008.

As an international academic event on the most influential biopharmaceutical field, Shanghai International Forum on Biotechnology & Pharmacy (BIO-FORUM) has been successfully held for 9 consecutive times since 1996. It has brought great influence for the promotion of biotechnology & pharmaceutical innovation and industrialization. BIO-FORUM 2008 will keep the credo of “Foresight, Innovation, Cooperation and Development” and set “Biotechnology Innovation and Sustainable Development” as its theme. The forum will include ten parallel sessions: Therapeutic Antibodies and Vaccine Technology, Stem Cell and siRNA, Drug Target Discovery and Drug Innovation, Generic Drug and TCM Internalization, Pharmaceutical Laws and Intellectual Property Rights, Venture Capital and Business Development, Biotechnology cooperation and application, Biomarkers and Diagnosis, Translational medicine and clinical research, Pharmacy Economic Information and Policy Trend. Nobel Laureates will be invited to attend the forum and make presentations. At the same time, the forum will explore the possibility of combining into it the “2008 China Pharmaceutical Industry Information”, an annual conference held by Shanghai Academy of Pharmaceutical Industry, in order to expand the influence and fame of the BIO-FORUM at the furthest and provide for the audience broader views and better opportunities.
